Hundreds displaced as fire guts Tema Kokompe slum (Video)

According to eyewitness reports, the fire started around 12:00 AM on Friday 17th December 2021 at the slums of Kokompe, near Tema.

Nana Kwabena Owusu reporting on Kessben TV said by the time the fire service personnel got to the scene, over 25 wooden structures had already burnt to ashes.

Many residents in the slum had to run for their lives in the wee hour leaving much of their properties destroyed by the fire.

The fire service has commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire outbreak.
