Anti E Levy campaigner remanded for 2 weeks for threatening Akufo Addo (Video)

The Ashaiman District Court on Monday 14th February 2022 remanded Fix the country convenor Oliver Barker-Vormawor into custody.

His arrest follows after he allegedly threatened coup de tat against the Akufo Addo-led government.

After the Government’s Townhall meeting on the proposed E levy, Oliver Barker took to social media where he posted on his timeline that if the proposed E levy is passed, he is likely to stage a coup de tat.

Oliver Barker was subsequently picked up by the police after he made the social post.

He has been charged with treason and has since been in police custody. The presiding judge Eleanor Barnes on Friday denied him bail.
