Veteran Journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has said he‘ll not be surprised if the beleaguered High Court judge Paul Uuter Dery who is one of the 34 Judges found culpable in the massive judicial bribery scandal, files a suit against God.
The under pressure judge is on a suing spree and has sued several people and institutions who are connected in publicly screening the video which caught the judges on tape collecting huge sums of monies to compromise cases before them.
Justice Dery before the public screening of the video at the Accra International Conference Centre, sued the Conference Centre, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI group, in an attempt to block them from showing the 2 year undercover investigative piece, however a court over ruled his plea paving way for the video to be screened.
He again on Friday secured an injunction to restrain EIB Network’s Ultimate 106.9FM, Anas’ firm Tiger Eye PI and the Golden Tulip from showing the video to the people of Kumasi and the rest of the Ashanti Region and he succeeded in blocking the video from being shown.
Speaking on Joy FM’s News File show, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako stated that looking at Justice Dery’s proclivity for filing suits he might go beyond human beings and sue the Almighty God.
He however said despite the many suits from Justice Dery, his protégé Anas remains resolute in his quest to see the judges who will be found guilty after the hearing punished to serve as deterrent to others.
