Doctors turn down govt’s offer; strike continues
Another attempt by government to get the striking doctors back to work has failed.
Sources say that the Sunday meeting which lasted several hours ended inconclusively.
The doctors are reported to have rejected an offer by the government.
Today’s meeting comes on the back of the failed attempt by parliament to get the doctors rescind their decision and go back to the consulting rooms.
Ghanaian doctors are on an indefinite strike pending a mass resignation over government’s inability to agree on their service conditions.
Sources within the camps have confirmed that inasmuch as government has conceded to many of the demands of the doctors, a chunk also have rightly been dismissed.
