Don’t downplay our traditional worship—Otumfuor’s Registrar
Registrar at the office of the Ashanti monarch, Collins Adusei has criticized the ostracization of traditional worship and worshipers.
According to him people who call themselves Christians always look down upon the traditional rulers and consider them devilish.
He noted that traditional worship is being acknowledged worldwide and the presence of the golden stool at the Manhyia palace makes the region a focal point.
Speaking to Sir Richmond Antwi Boasiako on Royal 89.3 fm morning show, Mr. Adusei hinted an intimate relationship between traditional leaders and christian leaders.
‘‘There is an intimate relation between the manhyia palace and all the churches in the Ashanti region sealed by a prayer festival celebrated at the manhyia palace on the first day of the first month of every year. This was initiated by the Ashanti presbytery led by Rev.Dr Opuni Frimpong’’.
Mr Collins Adusei was however worried that chiefs who happen to be Christians are considered “devils” during communion services by a group of society.
