Tempers high at Kejetia as KMA relocate drivers and traders to bus terminal
Tempers are still high at Kejetia in the Ashanti region as the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has blocked all entrances to the Kejetia bus terminal, denying access to commercial vehicles and also relocating some traders from the usual market place.
The police and military officials have been stationed at the entrance of the terminal to ensure that drivers comply with the order to stay away.
The situation has left several passengers stranded.
The blocked entrances include, the Zoo traffic light, Pampaso and the Barclays bank area.
The move is to make way for a planned demolition exercise aimed at preparing the grounds for the reconstruction of the Kumasi Central market.
