Joselyn Dumas and Ama Ampofo nominated for AMAA 2015

Ghanaian actresses Joselyn Dumas and Ama Ampofo, together with the movie, Silver Rain, have been nominated for the 2015 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
They will battle some of Africa’s biggest actors and movies for laurels at this year’s awards scheduled to take place in September in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Nominees for the 2015 awards, the 11th edition, were announced in Los Angeles, USA on Saturday night. It was attended by Lydia Forson, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Chioma Chukwuka, and Jimmy Jean-Louis.
Joselyn received a nomination in the ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ for her role in the movie ‘Silver Rain’. The movie is in the running for the ‘AMAA 2015 Award for Achievement In Make-up’.
Chumani Pan, an actor in ‘Silver Rain’, received a nomination in ‘AMAA 2015 Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role’.
Ghanaian animation, ‘Akorkoli’ will battle ‘The Throne’ (Nigeria), ‘Alternative to Corporal Punishment’ (Namibia), T’he Legacies of Rubbies’ (Nigeria) for the ‘AMAA 2015 Award for Best Animation’.
Actress Ama Ampofo’s role in ‘Devil in a Detail’ also earned her a nomination in the ‘AMAA 2015 Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ category.
