Father’s Day buffet to be held at Banquet Hall, State House.
Father’s Day celebrations in Ghana is not well recognised and celebrated with the pomp and pageantry as Mother’s Day.
The celebration of fathers is most often given less prominence even though there is a clear evidence that fathers, play a key role in the family.
Ozon Media, an event and marketing company that has been organizing the Mother’s Day Buffet Lunch Dance on Mother’s Day for the past eight years, will on Sunday, June 21 put the spotlight on fathers.
The events outfit, last year, held the first edition of Father’s Day Buffet Lunch Dance to celebrate fathers.
At last year’s event, which was held at the Banquet Hall, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Alhassan was given a special award for his innovative Visible Police strategy that has reduced the crime rate in the country.
This year, Ozon Media is organizing the second edition of the Father’s Day Buffet Lunch Dance on Sunday at the Banquet Hall, State House.
The event promises to be much more exciting this time around as seasoned and celebrated highlife musicians Nana Acheampong and A. B. Crentsil will rock the stage on the day.
Chief Executive Officer of Ozon, Media, Nana Tweneboa-Koduah said in a statement that, “God has asked us to honor our parents so he prolongs our lives and that is the only commandment that comes with a promise. So we are doing the work of God.”
He added that, it is about time the notion that most men are irresponsible is cleared because in these modern times a lot of men are very responsible.
This year, former President Jerry John Rawlings and Mr. Emmanuel Adu Sarkodie, Group CEO of CDH Financial Holdings Ltd will be honoured at the event.
