Music legends honoured at MOGO Awards

The final leg of the 2015 Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) Festival got underway at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) Saturday night.
MOGO, which has been running for the past nine years, celebrates authentic Ghanaian highlife music.
The week-long MOGO Festival continued with the MOGO Awards to round off the celebration of music of Ghanaian origin.
It was Pat Thomas who kicked start the event in style with some of his hit songs which got the crowd up and dancing.
Traditional literary poet, Nana Asaase paid glowing tribute to fallen highlife musicians in Ghana accompanied by soothing music and the Ramblers took over the stage to dish out great Highlife tunes.
The first set of awards were dished out after which Paapa Yankson and Nana Kwame Ampadu took turns to thrill patrons from their collection of hit songs.
The MOGO Festival is sponsored by Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and Alisa Hotels and organised by Citi 97.3FM.
