Corruption bringing Ghana to its knees – PPP Regional Chair

The Regional Chairman of the Progressive People’s Party in the Brong Ahafo Region Daniel Mensah has decried the rising spate of corruption in Ghanaian society and says corruption is gradually bringing Ghana to its knees.
He is calling for a shift from the tunnel vision approach which directs all corruption-related issues to politicians.
Daniel Mensah who is also a regular on Techiman-based Winners FM Morning Show says corruption “”goes beyond the President or any politician. It involves the giver and the taker…if the Chief Executive or minister or a “Nana” makes a call to the Police Commander to release a suspected criminal without bail, it is corruption.”
The vocal politician who was speaking on Winners FM, urged Ghanaians not to lose sight of the consequences of corruption to any society. He said corruption can bring a whole nation to its knees since it collapses all systems and institutions lose their legitimacy.
Mr Mensah urged all citizens to join in the fight against corruption. “Combating corruption is everyone’s business. We must all put our hands on deck to eliminate this evil in society.”
