Wakaso subpoenaed by Scottish court, Elche president in hot water

A case brought against Mubarak Wakaso and the president of Elche in 2011 over the Ghanaian winger’s move from Elche to Villlareal is gaining currency in Spain as the two personalities are billed to appear in court on separate occasions and venues.
They are billed to testify in a case against them by JP Sports Manager Deportivo SL, a sports management group which engineered Wakaso’s move from Obuasi Ashantigold to Elche thereby guaranteeing them 42.5% of his rights.
The domino effect of their shares in Wakaso translated to 15% of his future sale from Elche, a windfall the company did not receive. Elche continues to argue their case that Wakaso’s contract was ripped to pieces and was handed to Villareal free-of-charge after a myriad of disciplinary issues.
JP Sports Manager SL’s suspicion stems from how Wakaso was made to first train with the junior side of Villareal for a short while after which he was promoted to the senior side. To have sued Wakaso in addition lends credence to the fact that the player is suspected to have willingly played a role which robbed Ashgold and JP Sports Manager SL of their entitlements
Elche president Jose Sepulcure, former CEO Jose Antonio Garcia Gita, as well as Martinez Valero, now with Hercules, and Juan Carlos Ramirez, the then legal representative of the club, and all those who played one role or the other to bring Wakaso to Elche will appear in court on November 27 in Spain, but due to Wakaso’s loan move to Celtic, he will be appearing before a corresponding court in Scotland to testify to the merits or otherwise of the law suit.

The agency is looking to recoup monies to the tune 900,000, part (240,000) of which they claim belongs to Ashgold.
