King Faisal's petition dismissed
The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday dismissed King Faisal’s petition against Aduana Stars, which means the GFA’s Congress will go ahead.
King Faisal had sought to have Aduana forfeit two matches played last season against Heart of Lions and Berekum Chelsea for failing and refusing to pay a cost of GH¢5,000 imposed against them by the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee within 14 days as stipulated under Article 39(8) of the General Regulations and consequently, ought to be punished to forfeit all matches played during the period of default.
Last month, the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA ruled that the petition had no merit after its hearing into the matter but Faisal secured an injunction to prevent Congress from going ahead last Friday.
King Faisal were among the three relegated clubs for the 2013/2014 season we were hoping to earn points for survival.
