Adebayor: We’re all praying for Castro’s return

Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed he is praying for the return of hiplife artiste Castro.
All hope seemed to be lost after rescue operations by the police for Castro and his female companion, Janet Bandu, who went missing in July while jet skiing at Ada came to an end.
Castro and Black Stars’ captain, Asamoah Gyan were at the Peace Holiday Resort, a beach resort in Ada, together with some friends, for recreation when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Praising Asamoah Gyan for his sterling performance after the Black Stars beat the Hawks of Togo 3-2 in a five-goal thriller in Lome last Wednesday, Adebayor said it is unfortunate people are blaming the football star for the misfortune that befell his friend.
He told Rusell Wiafe of Footy-ghana.com after the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier that “Asamoah Gyan is one of the best players in Africa and he showed it today by scoring a great goal for his country.
“That’s why I respect a lot of African players, players like Drogba, Eto’o, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari. We’ve got a lot of problems with our national teams, we’ve got problems with our countries but we still show commitment and turn up to play,” Adebayor, who also plays for Tottenham Hotspurs, added.
The Togolese star lamented that, “Look at the problems Asamoah Gyan and his family are going through. People are saying a lot of things they don’t know about and it’s sad.”
