Kotoko deny Moller appointment

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have denied offering a contract to Tommy Moller Nielsen to take over from David Duncan as head coach.
The Danish trainer claims he signed a two-year deal with the dethroned Ghana Premier League champions to become their new coach.
And added his Kotoko side will play attractive football to wow football spectators.
But the club’s management insist they have held no talks with him neither to talk of offering him the job as coach.
“We as management know nothing about this and have not engaged Tommy Moller in any discussions,” Kotoko’s Operations Manager George Kennedy told Joy FM.
The club insist David Duncan remains their substantive trainer despite recent reports of the appointment of a new coach.
Tommy Moller Nielsen was invited into the country by one of the major financiers of Kotoko, Dr. Kweku Frimpong to assume post as the technical director of the club, but George Kennedy believes Dr. Frimpong will be in a better position to tell the world the deal agreed with the Danish because management is not aware.
“I think it will be better and accurate if you go to the quarters of Dr. Kweku Frimpong.” he said.
George Kennedy admits the latest development is worrying, because Frimpong was in their good books and never expected him to look for problems where they don’t exist.
“Naturally you will feel uncomfortable with such developments because Dr. Frimpong used to be in our good books.”
