FIFA President Sepp Blatter has sent a congratulatory message to Ghana’s champions, Asante Kotoko, for winning the domestic league.
The Porcupine Warriors clinched their 23rd title success of the elite competition as they were decorated the champions of the 2013-14 First Capital plus Premier League.
“Please pass on my warmest congratulations to Asante Kotoko, winning their third title in succession,” the FIFA President said in his letter.
Blatter said the contributions of the players, technical staff and supporters played a part in the success.
“It pays testimony to the standing of the club. My warmest wishes go to the players, manager, the technical and medical staff and all of the team’s supporters as each part of this organisation have no doubt been instrumental in their club’s victory.
“On behalf of the world football community, I would like to thank Asante Kotoko for the excitement they bring to fans of the beautiful game and wish them all the best for the future.”
