Five injured in Suame Roundabout accident

Five people were injured in an accident involving an articulated truck and five other vehicles on Tuesday, July 1 at the Suame roundabout in Kumasi.
A taxi driver was trapped in one of the vehicles for close to two hours before rescuers removed him from the wreckage. It took seven towing vehicles to extract the trapped taxi driver.
According to Daily Graphic’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Donald Ato Dapatem, the incident occurred at around midday.
He said the articulated truck which was loaded with iron bars fell on the five vehicles while negotiating a curve at the roundabout.
The injured persons were rushed to the hospital.
