Prosper Ogum wanted to sack 10 players & bring 17 players – Kumasi Asante Kotoko and matters arising

The former head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Prosper Narteh requested for 17 new players to be recruited at the Kumasi-based football club, Kessben Sports is aware.

His request was however shot down by the Management and BoD of the club which led to the former WAFA coach leaving his job at the Kumasi-based football club.

Aside the last-minute disagreement with broke the camel’s back, the local media in Kumasi are reporting on a number of reasons which informed the decision of Prosper Ogum to have resigned.

A report which has emerged after he left the club says, Ogum had a rift with the management of the team over how some key players were leaving the club as the club had only 6 weeks to start their Africa campaign.

Ogum at a point felt very disrespected at the club following an insistence by some of the powers that be at the club for him to use some players he felt had dipped in form.

Quite apart from these, the club is reported to have owed the head coach 4 months of unpaid salaries with some unfulfilled promises attached.
