Election Petition: Hearing resumes after 10 day break

Hearing of the Presidential Election Petition challenging the results of the 2012 elections is set to resume Monday after almost ten days break.
The break was to allow international audit firm KPMG, which was appointed as referee, to conclude its audit of pink sheet exhibits submitted by the Petitioners.
KPMG has hinted it will submit the final report of the audit, Monday but even before the content of the report is made public, the Petitioners claim the report is riddled with anomalies and have requested an immediate meeting with the referee to iron out those anomalies before the final report is submitted to the court.
However, it appears the referee will go ahead to present the report when sitting resumes early Monday morning.
An official of KPMG is also likely to testify on the outcome of the audit and will be questioned by both the Petitioners and Respondents on issues that need clarity.
If the court is satisfied with the work of the referee and accepts its report, the Petitioners will continue with the cross-examination of the star witness of the second Respondent, Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan.
