Justice Kpegah's case is completely crippled – Nana Addo's Lawyer

Lawyers for the 2012 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, have described the suit filed by Former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Francis Kpegah accusing him of impersonation, as that is completely crippled.

In the opinion of the lawyers, the suit is nothing but a “pedestrian allegation” and questioned why “an application of this writ has been filed in the courts of law.”

Justice Francis Kpegah is suing the NPP flagbearer for holding himself out as a lawyer when evidence available to him, from sources such as the General Legal Council, proves otherwise.

The writ also indicts former President Kufuor for appointing Nana Akufo-Addo as Attorney General, who doubled as the leader of the Ghana Bar Association.

Kwame Boafo Akufo, lawyer for Nana Addo in an interview on Eyewitness News noted that though his client was yet to be served with the writ, the allegation lacked merit.

“Akufo Addo is also known as William Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, and that is the name that appears in the roll of lawyers…”
