NPP goes to court tomorrow
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), barring any hitches, will be heading to court on Friday to challenge the results of the 2012 elections which according to them was rigged in favour of President Mahama.
The party says it has completed gathering all the evidence needed to prove that Nana Akuffo Addo, the NPP’s presidential candidate was shortchanged in this year’s elections.
The Party has assured supporters that the party’s legal team is fully prepared to challenge the results.
The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Afari-Gyan, declared President John Mahama winner of the presidential elections, in spite of demands by the NPP for an audit of the results before declaration.
According to the NPP, it had evidence that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) colluded with some EC officials to fix the results in favour of President Mahama.
The Electoral Commission has already gazetted the results of the 2012 elections.
