God did not create Akufo Addo to be presidet – Yaw Boateng Gyan

The National Organiser of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Boateng Gyan says the flagbearer of the biggest opposition party; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo was not created to be president.
That is why he failed to win the 2012 general elections after losing that of 2008, Mr Boateng Gyan claimed.
He made these utterances while addressing thousands of teeming supporters at a victory rally at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, Saturday.
According to him, the NPP’s defeat was signalled by Nana Akufo Addo’s fall on stage during a rally in Kumasi in the run up to the elections.
He said Ghanaians did not vote the NPP into power because God did not create their flagbearer to be president.
He therefore called on the opposition party to accept defeat and stop creating tension in the country.
The National Organiser used the occasion to thank the supporters of the NDC for voting massively to retain President John Mahama in office and urged them to feel free and celebrate the victory.
Mr Yaw Boateng Gyan also warned the NPP flagbearer to stop associating his [Gyan’s] name with violence or else he [Akufo Addo] will urinate in public just as he was rumoured to have done near a mosque in Gonjaland last year.
On his part, the General Secretary of the party Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the party has rediscovered its winning ways and “we are not going back”.
He also encouraged the supporters to celebrate the party’s victory, saying “we will meet at the gargantuan rally” on January 7 – the day President Mahama will be sworn into office.
