NPP opens book of condolence for the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama

Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have opened a book of condolence in honour of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

The late Vice President served under the Kufuor Administration from the year 2001 to the year 2008.

He passed away on Friday, November 16th 2012 after a short illness and will be buried at the Asomdwee Park on November 18th.

A statement signed by the National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey indicated the book will be opened to the public from 12pm on Saturday, November 17 at all regional party offices across the country.

The New Patriotic Party wishes to announce to the general public that a book of condolence will be opened at the party’s headquarters, Asylum Down, Accra, today, the 17th of November, 2012, in honour of the late Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

Party faithful and sympathisers, as well the general public, will have the opportunity, from 12pm this Saturday, to pay their last respects to the former Vice President.

Book of condolence will also be opened in all regional party offices across the country.

Later this evening, a candlelight vigil will be held at the Party headquarters, from 8pm on Saturday till the next morning.

All are cordially invited.
