We created ‘What Don’t You Know’ to reflect our society – Quizmaster NGO

The host of the popular television game show ‘What Don’t You Know (WDYK)’, Nana Gyasi Owusu, popularly called NGO, has said the show was created to reflect societal ills and vices.

Speaking with Kojo Yankson on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM, he stated that contrary to popular belief, the show is not just a comedy game but a satire.

“…it is a satire, and a lot of thought went into creating the show and my character as the quizmaster,” he said.

He stated that societal ills such as bribery and corruption, nepotism, bigotry are all reflected as a way of mirroring our society and poking fun at it.

Promoting Ghana

The hilarious quizmaster also revealed that he has never played any Nigerian song and has always made sure that every music played on the show is primarily Ghanaian.

In another interview on Hitz FM with Dr Pounds, he said the aim of the show was to promote everything Ghanaian, from music to film, dance and other aspects of the Arts.

“…the objective is to give Ghanaians and the world something authentically Ghanaian,” he said while promoting the show’s new season, which premiered on July 17, on JoyPrime.
