Ghana taken off the Financial Action Task Force “grey list” – Finance Minister

Ghana’s Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta on Wednesday, 30th June 2021, announced that Ghana has been taken off the Financial Action Task Force “grey list”.

What this means is that the international community has renewed its confidence in Ghana’s Anti-money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism. This will boost confidence in the integrity of our financial environment and also boost Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

The Ministry under the leadership of Hon. Ken Ofori Atta is positioning Ghana as the gateway and spearhead for African economic and financial integration and with Ghana hosting the AfCFTA headquarters, it will open wider doors for investment opportunities also boost the economy going forward.
