NPP presidential primaries: Ashanti Regional founding fathers entreat aspirants to avoid personal attack in their campaign

The Ashanti Regional founding fathers of the New Patriotic Party have implored the four remaining presidential aspirants of the Party to run a decent campaign ahead of the November 4 NPP presidential contest.

According to the six Ashanti regional founding fathers, some of the candidates and their communication team are using unprintable words against other fellow candidates that are likely to ruin the party, hence, they will advise them to desist from it.

The founding fathers comprised Mr. Kofi Yeboah, Peter K Anokye, Nana Asante Gyeabour, Geroge Appiah, Asafo Adjei, Nicholas Nyantankyi, and Kofi Nsia Amponsa.

Speaking on behalf of the founding fathers, Chairman for the group, Mr. Kofi Nsiah Amposah stressed that the four contestants are brilliant and have abilities making them capable of leading the party to victory should they win the contest on November 4.

Mr. Kofi Nsiah Amposah exhorted the candidates to respect one another and carefully choose their campaign message devoid of personal attacks.

He indicated that if they continue to destroy themselves with their utterances, they are giving weapons to their main enemy NDC to destroy whoever will be elected to lead the party.

Speaking on the credibility of the party, he underlined that the party has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to rule the country for at least 14 years and it is still in power and any of them who wins the internal elections will campaign on the ticket of the party so they should all give the party the respect it deserves.

Added that the contestants should exercise the greatest circumspection in their utterances to promote the image of the party to enhance its chances of breaking the 8.
