Mawuli Wayo gives minute by minute account of how Kotoko’s Abalora gave him a hefty slap from the back (Video)
King Faisal forward, Mawuli Wayo has confirmed that Asante Kotoko Keeper, Razak Abalora slapped him after his side secured the match-winning goal against Kotoko last Sunday 5th December 2021 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking in an interview with Kessben TV, the player who assisted all three goals scored by King Faisal on the day confirmed what the local media had apparently reported.
According to Wayo, in the cause of jubilating the win over the regional rivals, he received a slap from his back and it was the Kotoko goalkeeper who had slapped him.
He told Tony Muntana that, at that point, he rushed to retaliate with a much heavy punch but the police who were around encircled him to calm nerves.
Wayo however says he has forgiven the goalkeeper and won’t take the matter up.
