Francis Dodovi of NDC suggest de@th punishment for Ghanaians practicing LGBTQI+

High ranking member of the National Democratic Congress, Francis Dodovi is urging Ghanaians to stone gays in Ghanaian societies when caught.

The NDC Parliamentarian candidate for the Suame constituency in the 2020 general elections says just like how armed robbers are stoned when caught, gays should also face the same wrath.

Speaking on Maakye with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben FM/TV, Francis Dodovi underscored that he’s not in any way condoning hate speech with regards to the issue of the LGBTQ but the values of the country must be respected. “Let me say this, if you catch gays in your community, stone them.

Let’s not condone this nonsense in Ghana. I’m not promoting hate speech. If you catch them in your community, stone them. We won’t entertain them.” He stressed.

According to Francis Dodovi, the act of the gays is an abomination to the land of Ghana, something which is equally damming like robbery. He reckons it will be better to criminalize the act but for now, when caught they should just be stoned.

Ningo Prampram MP, Sam George has been pushing an anti-LGBTQ bill in Parliament to see the act of gays to be criminalized.

Meanwhile, 15 renowned men including Lawyer Akoto Ampaw have written to Parliament to see the anti-LGBTQ bill thrashed.
