Pockets of crime and hooliganism across Ashanti Region in recent times have thrown the Region into a feeling of insecurity and the need for the police to step up their efforts in providing security to the populace, a duty they have sworn an oath to, and from which they earn their daily bread.
In the latest cases of armed robberies in the Ashanti Region, the police have said they will need the support of the people to combat the latest crimes.
This has necessitated a call by the Police commander of Ashanti Region, COP Kwasi Mensah Duku for worthy businessmen in the Region to support the police force in the Region with logistics and police posts for smooth operations and protection.
Speaking exclusively on “Breaking News” on Kessben 93.3 FM and Kessben TV, hosted by Ali Baba Danakambary, COP Duku called on all well to do persons in Ashanti Region to support the police as Dr Osei Kwame Despite has been doing.
“I am urging all Businessmen in Ashanti Region to emulate what Kwame Despite has done doing by supporting the police with logistics and police posts for smooth protection.”
COP Duku in the coming days will end his service with the Ghana police service and has called on the people of the Ashanti Region to support his successor.
