The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo and ex-President John Kufuor escaped unhurt after the stage on which they stood caved in at a rally in Kumasi on Sunday
According to Citi News’ reporter, Sammi Wiafe, Nana Addo was addressing party supporters at a rally in Kumasi when the incident occurred but no causalities were recorded.
He reported that the rally came to an abrupt end after incident saying, “the programme is currently on hold because the stage on which the executives as well as the leadership of the party were standing on has just collapsed… All of the executives who were sitting on this particular stage, all of them fell.”
He gave the assurance that “he is okay. There is nothing wrong with Nana Akufo-Addo. He is unhurt. He is very, very fine.”
