Ariana Grande added to AMA 2015 lineup

Ariana Grande has been added to the lineup for the 2015 American Music Awards.
The pop star will perform “Focus”, the first single lifted from her forthcoming album Moonlight, due in 2016. Produced by Max Martin and written by Grande and Savan Kotecha, “Focus” arrived on the eve of Halloween.
Its the third successive year Grande has been invited to share in the awards’ spotlight. Her first appearance was at the 2013 event, when she took home the new artist of the year accolade. And last year she performed “Bang, Bang” with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, and delivered a medley of her songs “Problem,” “Break Free” and “Love Me Harder,” with some assistance from The Weeknd. There’s a chance she will make multiple trips to the mic for the 2015 show; she’s nominated for artist of the year and favorite female artist – pop/rock.
Grande joins a line-up of previously-announced performers which includes Coldplay, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Gwen Stefani, Pentatonix, 5 Seconds of Summer, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, One Direction, Carrie Underwood and Walk The Moon.
ABC will air the AMAs live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Nov. 22, with Jennifer Lopez performing and hosting for the first time.
Taylor Swift is the most nominated artist at this year’s AMAs, nominees for which are based on key fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com, including album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Entertainment and Next Big Sound.
