NDC to sanction officials who sold forms to Boateng

The National Democratic Congress has stated that it would sanction officials who sold presidential forms to aspirant George Boateng illegally.

The former Oyarifa Branch Youth Organizer of the party has acquired presidential forms to contest President Mahama – who picks his forms today – in the upcoming parliamentary and presidential primaries slated for November 7.

But the party hierarchy has revealed that due process was not followed before the forms were sold to Boateng.

According to the NDC, only the general secretary has the mandate to issue the presidential forms to a presidential aspirant.

“Whoever gave him the form did not go through the right procedure and so there might have been some lapse somewhere but if he doesn’t have the seal that he should have then it means he doesn’t have what he should have legitimately.

He added: “It is the general secretary who sells the presidential forms and so if they are being punished, they are being punished because they did not follow laid down procedure”.
