PZ Cussons Ghana names AJ Poundz ambassador for CAMEL Antiseptic and Cussons Baby

PZ Cussons Ghana has named media personality and entrepreneur Matilda Adjoa Densu, popularly known as AJ Poundz, as its new Family Care Ambassador for CAMEL Antiseptic and Cussons Baby.
The partnership aims to strengthen the brands’ relationships with Ghanaian households by promoting hygiene, protection and baby care, while drawing on AJ Poundz’s influence and experience as a mother of three to connect with consumers.
Speaking at the unveiling, PZ Cussons Ghana’s Category Manager for Personal Care (CAMEL), Dorothy Opare Acolatse, said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to helping families maintain good hygiene and protect their loved ones.
She explained that CAMEL seeks to keep families clean, cared for and protected while giving parents the confidence to allow their children to explore and enjoy everyday activities.
“We know that our children will be running around, they’ll be going to school, they’ll be interacting, the house will get messy. But we say that with us, you can say yes to them having that life free,” she said.
Ms Acolatse added that AJ Poundz’s experience as a mother made her an ideal ambassador to communicate the brand’s message in a relatable and authentic manner.
“For us as CAMEL, it’s just bringing someone real to have those conversations with our consumers,” she said.
For Cussons Baby, the partnership will focus on supporting mothers through the different stages of motherhood, emphasising nurturing, protection and confidence in childcare.
Category Manager for Cussons Baby and Home Care at PZ Cussons Ghana, Clara Ofori-Adu, said AJ Poundz’s personal experience would help her connect with the brand’s values and the everyday experiences of mothers.
“And so bringing her on board, we know she will communicate, she will connect with what Cussons Baby stands for, which is the heart of Cussons Baby,” she said.
AJ Poundz expressed excitement and gratitude for the appointment, describing the partnership as a significant responsibility.
“I was extremely happy. I was so grateful when I got the call,” she said, noting that the opportunity to represent both CAMEL and Cussons Baby made the collaboration particularly meaningful.
She added that the partnership would help strengthen the brands’ presence in Ghanaian households.
PZ Cussons Ghana said consumers could expect further engagements and activities under the collaboration to increase awareness of CAMEL Antiseptic and Cussons Baby and educate families on the products and their uses.
