Regent of Nandom Traditional Council, David Chemogoh Aasonaa Delle, Dies at 81

The Palace of Nandom Naa has announced the passing of the Regent of the Nandom Traditional Council, Mr. David Chemogoh Aasonaa Delle.
He was 81.
According to a press release signed by the Relations Officer at the Office of Nandom Naa, Okyeame Frempa Taatuo, and issued on behalf of the Paramount Chief, His Royal Majesty Naa Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII, the late Regent transitioned peacefully at the Tamale Teaching Hospital on Thursday, September 24, 2026, after a short illness.
The statement, dated Tuesday, October 6, 2026, described the late Mr. Delle as a distinguished custodian of customs and a pillar of Nandom who served with unwavering dedication, wisdom, humility and integrity.
“His demise is a monumental and irreparable loss to the Royal Family, the Traditional Council and the entire Nandom Traditional Area,” the release stated.
The Palace extended heartfelt condolences to all who mourn the loss and appealed to the general public to observe the mourning period and remember the bereaved family and the people of Nandom in their prayers.
The Palace added that funeral and burial arrangements will be announced in accordance with custom and tradition in due course.
