Spirit of Grace Outreach Marks 5th Anniversary with a Call to Christians Globally to Embrace God’s Glory

The Spirit of Grace Outreach at Apese-Ayikuma, along the Dodowa-Somanya road, has celebrated its fifth anniversary with a call for Christians to recognise and embrace the glory and greatness of God.
The anniversary celebration, held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the church premises, was organised under the theme, “Lift up your heads, O you gates, and be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and let the King of Glory come in.”
It brought together senior apostles, reverend ministers, evangelists, prophets, church members and visitors from various walks of life.
In his welcome address, the Founder and Leader of Spirit of Grace Outreach, Pastor Ernest Asiedu Odei, expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the church through its first five years.
Pastor Odei said although he had opportunities to establish the church in a more populated urban area, he believed God placed on his heart to situate it in Apese, a relatively remote community with a small population.
He acknowledged the challenges encountered over the past five years but attributed the church’s growth and progress to God’s grace and the resilience of its members.
Looking ahead, Pastor Odei pledged his continued commitment to the work of God and to the development of the Apese community.
He said the church had plans to extend its outreach beyond Apese to surrounding villages and towns.
He also recalled how the outreach began while he was schooling in the United States, saying he remained excited about advancing the work of God despite the challenges.
The main preacher for the anniversary was Apostle Jude Hama, President of the Africa Bible Center for Disciple-making (ABCD), who preached on the theme “Celebrating the Glory of the Biblical Majestic God.”
Drawing from Psalm 24, Apostle Hama spoke extensively about the power, majesty and glory of God, emphasising that God alone is the Creator and that all others are His creations.
“He alone is the creator and all others are creatures,” he said, stressing that humanity was created for God’s glory and grand purposes.
Apostle Hama further encouraged the congregation to remain close to God and abandon idol worship.
The preaching session was followed by a communion service led by Dr. Brian Jennings of Ghana Christian University College and the University of Birmingham, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Comfort Adjahoe-Jennings. Dr. Jennings urged participants to continually seek the mercy of God.
A fundraising session was subsequently led by Apostle Michael Kwadwo Peprah of Prophetic Hill Church Worldwide, who appealed to congregants and visitors to support the church’s efforts to deepen its impact in the Apese community.
Host, Pastor Odei in addition to the celebration launched two Christian books that he has written titled “Exodus: Strategic Repositioning and Realignment” and “The Potter’s Clay”.
The celebration also featured musical ministrations by Lady Pastor Edna Asafo-Adjei and the church’s music group, Wings of Worship.
Among the distinguished personalities who attended were Rev. Dr. Dinah Baah-Odoom, former Registrar of the Ghana Psychology Council; Rev. Francis Osei Kusi of the Methodist Church, Ghana; and the Founder of Women of Substance Ministries, Rev. Mrs. Salomey Tetteh-Acquah, alongside other ministers and Christian leaders.
The anniversary celebration concluded with the church providing free dinner and snacks for members, invited guests and other participants.
