George Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah Thanks Npp After Contest; Congratulates New Executives Led By John Boadu, Calls For Unity Ahead Of 2028

Former National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. George Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah, who contested for the First Vice Chairman portfolio in the just-ended party elections, has issued a statement thanking the party and calling for unity.
Mr. Abankwa Yeboah, though unsuccessful in his bid, says he accepts the results in good faith and congratulates all winners.
FULL STATEMENT BELOW:
I give thanks to the Almighty God for a peaceful and successful election.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the leadership of the New Patriotic Party, to my campaign team, my loyal supporters, followers, and to all delegates who took part in this important democratic exercise.
My special thanks go to the Elections Committee, the Council of Elders, Patrons and all committees that supervised the process from the beginning to the end. You have once again demonstrated that the NPP is a true democratic party.
To all delegates who voted for me, I am eternally grateful. To those who did not, I respect your decision. In every contest, only one person wins, but the NPP is the ultimate winner.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all newly elected executives, especially the new Chairman, Mr. John Boadu, and his team of executives.
Your election is a call to service, not a call to personal glory. I have full confidence in your ability to lead our great party to prosecute a resounding victory in the 2028 general elections.
I also congratulate all my fellow contestants who contested and did not win. We all fought a good fight. Let us not see ourselves as losers, but as partners in rebuilding our party.
It is time to unite.
I am therefore calling on all and sundry, winners and losers alike, to bury our differences and rally behind the new executives led by Chairman John Boadu. Ghana needs the NPP back with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as President and that requires a united front.
Let us come together, mobilize resources, ideas and our unmatched commitment to bring the NPP back to power.
I pledge my total support and loyalty to the new leadership and I remain available to serve the party in any capacity to ensure Victory 2028.
Long Live the NPP!
Long Live
