The Base Movement (TBM) has officially launched state of the art online radio studio and its website during a ceremony at its headquarters in Tesano, a suburb of Accra.
The occasion was also used to introduced the TBM Administrative Structures and Operations Manual which the three projects will serve as a platform to propagate the timeless messages and the core values of the movement to members and Ghanaians across the country.
Speaking to a cross section of members of the movement, The Chief Operations Coordinator, Jacob Osei Yeboah said the three projects have created the needed channels for members to make inputs and participate in decision making in the running of the day-to-day affairs as well as the operations of the movement.
He said the online radio studio will serve as the movement’s media platform on Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube as the website will spelt out all information about TBM across the globe while the Administrative Procedures and Operations Manual will be a blueprint of which he describes as a document or a plan that will support and guide the movement.
Touching on the politics of the country, Mr. Yeboah said the National; Democratic Congress (NDC)and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are operating political duopoly which have not adequately address youth unemployment and other sectors of the economy bringing to bear hardships to the citizens.
He said TBM “Working Ghana Agenda”, an initiative of the movement will help support systems and structures for the elderly citizens and pensioners and will also role out programmes that is youth centered to attract them from other political parties.
The Chief Operating Coordinator said their doors are opened for supporters associated with former Trade and Industry Minister, Mr. Alan Kyeremanten’s United Party (UP) movement to serve on committees as well as that of Mr. Kennedy Agyapong.
“The objectives spelt out in the movement have compelled a 22-year-old Agyeiwaa Okodleh Michals to declare her intention to contest the Manhyia South parliamentary seat, “he said, adding that a 20 year old Gloria Amponsah have also won a position in the Youth parliament.
He said the Base Government is a building a robust principles that Ghanaians and the citizenry will be paramount and will ensure a secular state where the constitution reigns supreme, protect every Ghanian regardless of creed.
