The Goal Ghana conceded vs Ivory Coast: I will blame the system rather than Ati Zigi – Andy Kerm

Sports analyst Andy Kerm has defended Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi following the goal Ghana conceded against Ivory Coast in their AFCON qualifier.

Speaking on Kessben Sports, Andy Kerm said the goalkeeper should not be solely blamed for the goal, arguing that the defensive system and the team’s overall organisation played a bigger role in the situation.

“I will blame the system than to blame the goalkeeper Ati Zigi about the goal Ghana conceded,” Andy Kerm said.

According to Andy Kerm, assessing the incident should go beyond the goalkeeper and consider the collective responsibilities of the players and the team’s tactical setup. Ghana lost 2-0 vs Ivory Coast in Bouke.
