Justice Newton-Offei Accuses CID Boss Yaako Donkor of Being a “Puppet” in NDC Propaganda
Former Head of Writers at the Communications Directorate of the Office of the President, Jubilee House, and International Relations Expert, Justice A. Newton-Offei, has strongly criticised Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Boss Yaako Donkor, describing her as a “puppet” in what he alleges is an NDC propaganda effort.
Newton-Offei made the comments in a post on his Facebook page, where he questioned the substance and origin of a statement attributed to the CID boss.
According to him, the statement was among the most inappropriate comments he had seen from the head of a country’s Criminal Investigation Department.
“The CID boss is a puppet,” Newton-Offei wrote.
He further alleged that the statement attributed to Yaako Donkor was not the product of independent intelligence work by the Ghana Police Service but rather what he described as “pure NDC propaganda material.”
“As a speech strategist, I can easily deduce that what she claims to be the work of intelligence by the Ghana Police Service, is nothing but pure NDC propaganda material,” he stated.
Newton-Offei went on to allege that the CID boss had merely delivered a statement prepared elsewhere.
“Yaako Donkor only read a statement that was prepared at the NDC Adabraka headquarters and was handed to her to recite,” he claimed.
He compared the alleged delivery of the statement to children reciting prepared speeches during school events.
According to Newton-Offei, Yaako Donkor was being used as a channel to communicate what he described as attacks against political opponents.
“She was only being a conduit for propagating NDC venom against their political opponents, and ended up casting a pitiful image of herself as a puppet of a master-puppeteer,” he wrote.
