Kotoko & Hearts must sign good old experienced players like us to attract fans to the stadium – Ex Kotoko striker, Alex Asamoah
Former Asante Kotoko striker Alex Asamoah has urged Ghana’s two biggest clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, to consider signing more experienced players and blending them with young talents to boost their appeal and bring fans back to the stadium.
Speaking to Kessben Digital, Alex Asamoah said the presence of senior players could provide leadership and experience while helping younger footballers develop.
“[Kotoko and Hearts] should be signing senior players like us and blend [them] with the young to attract fans in the stadium,” Asamoah told Tony Muntana.
He believes a balanced squad combining experienced campaigners with emerging talents could improve the competitiveness of the two clubs while also generating greater excitement among supporters.
