NPP is the only Government that has made some little effort to combat Galamsey – Kwasi Mensah
Kwasi Mensah has stated that, in his view, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government is the only administration that has made any significant effort to combat illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Mensah said the government’s interventions, despite ongoing challenges, demonstrate a commitment to addressing the environmental destruction caused by illegal mining.
His comments come as the fight against galamsey continues to dominate public discourse, with concerns over pollution of water bodies, destruction of farmlands, and environmental degradation remaining key national issues.
