River oracle slapped Galamseyer to death in Konongo – Chief confirms

Nana Gyasi, the Aboafohene of Konongo, has claimed that an alleged illegal miner (galamseyer) died after what he described as an encounter with the “oracle of the river.”

Speaking on Kessben FM, Nana Gyasi alleged that the galamseyer was “slapped to death” by the river oracle. He made the statement while discussing the fight against illegal mining in the Konongo area, where traditional authorities have been urging miners to stay away from protected water bodies.

The Aboafohene presented the account as a warning against engaging in illegal mining, saying such activities disrespect the community’s rivers and traditions.

The reported incident and its alleged cause have not been independently verified, and no official statement from the Ghana Police Service or other authorities has confirmed the circumstances surrounding the reported death.
