Kotoko urged to scout Talent from Ashanti Region lower divisions

President of Sporty Talented FC, Ken Gargo, has urged Asante Kotoko to pay closer attention to players in the lower divisions across the Ashanti Region, insisting that many talented footballers are being overlooked.

Speaking on Kessben Drive with Fante Quoo, Gargo said the region’s lower-tier leagues are filled with quality players who have the potential to excel at the highest level if given the opportunity.

According to him, Kotoko could strengthen its squad and secure future stars by intensifying its scouting efforts within the region rather than focusing solely on established players elsewhere.

“There are very good players in the lower division sides in the Ashanti Region. Kotoko should be scouting them because they have the quality to play at the top level,” Gargo stated.

His comments come amid ongoing discussions about player recruitment and the need for local clubs to invest more in grassroots talent development.
