Rev. Vincent Kankam has drawn attention to the sacrifices of mothers as the world prepares to mark Mother’s Day.
Speaking on his “Food for Thought” programme on Kessben FM, Rev. Kankam stated that “single mothers are more than single fathers anywhere in the world,” a point he said highlights the depth of responsibility shouldered by women in raising children.
He explained that many mothers not only provide emotional care but also assume full parental duties, often in the absence of partners, making their role especially significant in family upbringing.
According to him, this reality should influence how society values and celebrates mothers, particularly during the Mother’s Day period, by recognizing both their visible and unseen sacrifices.
