Don’t abandon NDC out of frustration – Asiedu Nketia advises supporters

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged party supporters to remain loyal and avoid making politically consequential decisions out of frustration, particularly over unmet expectations such as the award of contracts.

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged party supporters to remain loyal and avoid making politically consequential decisions out of frustration, particularly over unmet expectations such as the award of contracts.

Addressing party faithful during his thank-you tour in Nandom in the Upper West Region on Friday, April 24, Asiedu Nketia acknowledged growing concerns among supporters who feel sidelined in the distribution of government opportunities.

However, he emphasised that the limited number of contracts available cannot satisfy the demands of all party members.

He explained that even if all available contracts in the country were allocated, they would still fall short of meeting the expectations of the numerous qualified individuals seeking them.

“If we bring all the contracts available in Ghana, it will not be able to satisfy all the contractors,” he stated, urging supporters to exercise patience.

The NDC Chairman stressed that the most reliable pathway to accessing opportunities lies in sustaining the party’s hold on power. According to him, continued  political stability increases the likelihood that those who have not benefited today may have opportunities in the future.

He further warned that abandoning the NDC for the opposition, particularly the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by Mahamudu Bawumia, may not yield the desired outcomes.

“What you are asking today, and we are not able to provide, are you sure you will get it when they come to power?” he questioned
