Kwasi Mensah urges shift in focus after Mahama’s LGBTQ remarks

Kwasi Mensah has called for the public to move on from debates surrounding LGBTQ issues following recent remarks by former President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Kwasi Mensah used a metaphor to illustrate his point, suggesting that statements made at different times can reflect changing priorities. He argued that if Mr. Mahama now considers LGBTQ matters no longer a priority, the public discourse should adjust accordingly.
“If President Mahama says LGBTQ is now not a priority for him, let’s just move,” he said during the broadcast.
His comments come amid ongoing national conversations around LGBTQ rights and political positioning in Ghana. While some analysts view such statements as a shift in political messaging, others believe the issue remains significant in public policy and human rights discussions.
