ATU have introduced 103 accredited programs Prof. Amevi Akakpovi

Accra Technical University is currently running 103 accredited academic programs including 17 Masters programs, 38 BTech, 18 top – ups, 20 Higher National Diploma ( HND) and 10 Diploma Programs and forms part of the drive to expand enrollment growth, Vice Chancellor, Amevi Acakpovi has stated.
The University have made significant investments in digital infrasture and smart systems, saying the more falls within the institutions strategic priorities to enhance cybersecurity, network reliability, ‘’he said adding that such initiatives positions ATU as a digitally resilient institution of higher learning.
ATU, he said have signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MOU) with DQS South Africa GAFA Japan on Automative training and language development and poured out that the said partnerships facilitate students and staff mobility, leverages research and innovation, curriculum development as well as international exposure and bench marking.
Prof. Amevi Acakpovi was speaking at the 25th congregation ceremony in Accra and announced further that ATU was ranked as the Best TVET institution of the Year, Best Technical University in West Africa, selected for the Global Excellence Leadership Award Africa 2026 among others.
The Ag. Vice Chancellor hinted that the University is new strategic plan ( 2026 – 2030) have been finalized and it outlines the institution priorities key performance indicators and implementation framework and will be officially be launched on the 7th April, 2026 as new appointments have been confirmed including Substantive Vice Chancellor, following investiture in (Jan.2025) Pro VCin April 2025, and Register currently underway.
He therefore adviced graduands to demonstrate the academic disciplined obtained at ATU in all fields of working endeavors and adapt to emerging technologies in today’s artificial intelligence and also and also be the drivers of the country’s industrial and technological advancements.
Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Clement Abass Apaak in address, challenge graduands to adequately embrace the job marker to help scale up industries and create solutions as part of the drive to leverage knowledge particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence for industrial, entrepreneur growth and development.
He applauded ATU for contributing immencel to the industrial and economic growth of the country as well as unleashing the potentials of students to enable them excel in the world of works (WOWS)
The congregation witnessed a total of 7,816 graduands in various programs such as MSC/ MTech, BTech, HND, Diploma and GAF under the theme, ‘’Emerging Technologies -How Prepared Is The ATU Graduate?’’.
