First Lady Lordina Mahama Attends Global Summit on Children’s Digital Future in Washington
First Lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Lordina Dramani Mahama, is in Washington, D.C., at the invitation of the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, to participate in the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit.
The two-day high-level summit brings together First Ladies and spouses of world leaders to deliberate on strategies for building a safer, more inclusive, and equitable digital future for children.
Discussions at the summit are expected to focus on strengthening global collaboration to protect children online while leveraging technology to expand opportunities for education, innovation, and development.
In a commitment statement issued ahead of the summit, Mrs. Mahama reaffirmed Ghana’s dedication to safeguarding children in the digital space.
“Ghana stands ready to ensure technology becomes a force for empowerment, not endangerment, for every child. Our children’s future is our shared moral duty and generational responsibility,” she stated.
