Ashanti South Police credit Gov’t bulletproof cars for crime-fghting gains

The Ghana Police Service in the Ashanti South District has received a boost in its crime-fighting efforts following the provision of bulletproof vehicles by the government.

Speaking on Kessben FM with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, DSP Bright Acheampong, Staff Officer for Ashanti South, disclosed that the armored vehicles have significantly enhanced police operations in recent times. According to him, the addition of the bulletproof cars has improved officer safety and increased their ability to respond effectively to high-risk situations.

“The government has provided us with a number of bulletproof cars, and they are really helping us fight crime lately,” DSP Acheampong stated during the interview.

He explained that the vehicles are particularly useful during dangerous operations, including armed robberies and anti-drug raids, where officer protection is critical. The improved logistics, he noted, have also boosted the morale of personnel and strengthened their confidence in tackling criminal activities.

DSP Acheampong further reaffirmed the police service’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the region, assuring the public that the enhanced resources would be put to good use in ensuring safety.
