Popular Ghanaian preacher Rev. Vincent Kankam, widely known as Sofo Kankam, has advised men to prioritize self-investment while supporting their partners financially.
Speaking on his radio program on Kessben FM, the outspoken minister stated that “any wise woman you are spending on will tell you to also invest in yourself if you are spending on her, otherwise is dangerous.”
Rev Kankam emphasized that relationships should be built on mutual growth and responsibility rather than one-sided financial dependence. According to him, a supportive and thoughtful partner will encourage personal development, savings, and long-term planning alongside generosity.
He cautioned that neglecting one’s own financial stability while focusing solely on a partner could lead to future regret and imbalance in the relationship.
