NPP should be given another chance, The need was so great during COVID, so most Ghanaians did not see the good works of Akufo-Addo – Beatrice Owarewaa (Nana Yaa)

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Beatrice Owarewaa, popularly known as Nana Yaa, has urged Ghanaians to give the governing party another mandate, arguing that many of its achievements went unnoticed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Speaking on Kessben FM in an interview with Wofa Kofi Appiah, she said the enormity of challenges brought on by the pandemic overshadowed what she described as significant development efforts under former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to her, the government’s focus during the COVID-19 period was necessarily directed toward protecting lives and stabilizing the economy, making it difficult for citizens to fully appreciate ongoing infrastructure projects and social interventions.

“The need was so great during COVID that most Ghanaians did not see the good works of Akufo-Addo,” she stated, emphasizing that extraordinary times required emergency spending and policy shifts.
